CSA #7

CS0791

CSA #7 USED Horz Pair 4-Margin appears to be on London Paper with a neat strike of the New Braunfels, Texas CDS. Very Fine.
$100.00
CS07/161

CSA #7 USED London Paper Block of 4 on Small Piece with a Socked on the Nose strike of the Austin, Tex double circle CDS. The date appears to be 7 APR 1862 which is not compatible with the stamp. May very well represent an incorrect yeardate in the CDS as was known to have happened in the Austin postmark. The postmark is most definitely genuine. Each stamp also has a one vertical line pen stroke cancel. The stamps could easily be mistaken for a CSA #6; but on close examination, the printing is just a bit coarse and there are also small plate flaws. The stamp is therefore an early printing of CSA #7 on De La Rue Paper. Margin just touches the design along the left side and at the top left corner. Used multiples with a Texas postmark are not common.
$450.00
CS07/162

CSA #7 USED London Paper on Small Piece (4-Margin but close on the lower left) with the Austin, Tex double circle CDS with a APR date.
$125.00
CS07/166

CSA #7 USED (margins close at top and left) very coarse late printing with the Wartrace N&C RR oval postmark (Nashville & Chattanooga Railroad) 17 MAY 1863. Small thins which do not detract.
$150.00
CS07/172

CSA #7 USED Block of 4 with margins touching in spots and faults (small thins and two tiny edge pinholes). Two strikes of the Black Petersburg, Va CDS with a 30 DEC (1864) date. Scarce item and a late usage for this stamp.
$350.00
CS07/193

CSA #7 USED Horz Block of 6 on London De La Rue Paper (4-Margin but just a little close in places) with one full strike and two partial strikes of the Tawboro NC CDS 31 JAN (1863). Prominent plate flaw in the top center stamp. Sealed tear involving the left lower stamp which does not detract from the overall appearance. These used larger multiples paying a triple rate are very scarce.
$500.00
CS07/195

CSA #7 USED Block of 4 (margins close to touching on all four sides) cancelled by a full strike of the Blue Petersburg, Va CDS 28 OCT. The are also two vertical period manuscript perfectly parallel lines along the right which look like they were drawn with a straight edge. I do not know the significance of these lines. The block has some thins and minor faults but is still very attractive.
$175.00
CS07/197

CSA #7 USED Block of 4 (4-Margin but close at upper left and top right) cancelled with one full strike and two partial strikes of the Jackson, Miss CDS 12 MAY.

The stamps look just like the London Print CSA #6 but are actually a very early printing of the CSA #7 Richmond Print identified by a prominent plate flaw below the left ear of the right stamp. Such plate flaws do not occur on the London Print stamps.
$85.00
CS07/384
