CSA #12d (AD) Very Dark Blue (4-Margin) tied to a large piece by Grid cancels. The grids are just a bit smeared but are most likely army field cancels. The piece has part of the address, and from this it can be seen that the cover was forwarded from Lynchburg, Va to somewhere else. A handstamp FREE was added to the cover most likely to show that no forwarding fee was assessed as the cover was addressed to a soldier (Hospital Steward). The handstamp FREE just catches the corner of the stamp and ties it to the piece so was most likely applied in Lynchburg, Va. |

On Saturday 2 FEB 2002, a small black 6-ring minibinder stockbook containing my entire inventory of CSA #13 and CSA #14 stamps was stolen from my bourse table at the Sarasota, Florida National Stamp Exhibition. To see a listing of the stolen items, use the link below. Perhaps someone may spot one or more of the stolen items on E-Bay or elsewhere and help to catch the thief. |
