SOLDIERS DUES

The cover shown below represents Confederate usage from Kentucky. While officially remaining a Union State, Kentucky also had a star in the Confederate Flag. Confederate postal usage in Kentucky was very limited. Such covers are found originating from a very small corner of the state which was under the control of the Confederate Army from SEP 1861 to FEB 1862.
