CSA #13 UNUSED (margin
touches at right but with a large upper sheet margin) OG and appears NH
(the upper selvedge is ungummed). The stamp is from the top row and
exhibits a small but prominent vertical
shift
seen in the doubling of the “20” and the top center ornament and a
blurring of the lettering in “Confederate States.” This is a random
shift which very likely also affects some adjacent stamps on
the
same sheet but is not repeatable to a specific plate position.
Interesting random printing variety.
