CSA #5 USED (margin a little tight on the left) with a face free strike of the the Southern Express Co. double circle postmark. This stamp with a express cancel is extremely scarce. The CSA #5 stamp with an express cancel is Scott listed but not priced. Small thinned brown spot to the left of the portrait which appears to be a natural paper inclusion. Insignificant edge thin at upper left. Very attractive stamp with a very elusive express postmark. PF Certificate 1978. |
