CSA #5 USED (4-Margin with excellent color) with the Salisbury NC CDS (date not apparent). The stamp is also canceled by three strikes of a DUE 3 handstamp which is a Union mark. The DUE 3 cancels indicate that the stamp could only have been used on a through-the-lines cover. Extremely unusual postal use for the 10c Rose Lithograph. Tear sealed from the back at lower left and a small edge nick at lower right. |
