CSA #1 Stone 2 Position 45 (95) (margin tight at the bottom left but with a large bottom sheet margin) tied to a large piece by the BLUE Columbia SC CDS (date not fully apparent). The large piece has the "Adams Southern Express." imprint at the top. "Adams" is lined through and "Co." added in manuscript as the Express Company's name was changed to "Southern Express Co." after secession. Part of the address to Mrs. E. E. Boyd, Leesville, So. Ca. is also on the large piece. Horizontal file fold at bttom of the piece not affecting the stamp. Very nice stamp on piece cut from an Express Company envelope.
