CSA #1 (two singles) paying the 10c rate over 500 miles. The left stamp is Stone 2 Position 5. The right stamp is Stone 2 but not plated as the left stamp overlaps the left side of the right stamp. The left stamp margin is touching on the left. The right stamp margin is touching on the right and stained at the left lower corner. The two stamps are tied together and to the cover by the small double circle Williamsburg, Va CDS 18 JAN 1862. Williamsburg was occupied by the Union 5/6/1862 to the end of the war. Addressed to Miss Eliza S. Church, Perry, Ga. Minor reduction on the left where opened. Very clean appearing cover.
