CSA #4b Horz Pair Stone 2 (not plated) Light Milky Blue (4-Margin). The left stamp shows a large white transient printing flaw recognized as a variety in the new CSA catalog as 4-2-v9. The pair is tied by the BLUE Lynchburg, Va CDS 26 SEP (1862). Light coarse brown paper cover addressed to Mrs. Rufus T. Lenoir, Fort Defiance, Caldwell Co. NC. The addressee was the wife of the Fort Defiance postmaster. The cover is reduced at the left not affecting anything. Very clean appearing over.
