Period notation on the face of the cover "Mrs. R. C. Moncure attention Rev T. Moncure please excuse the envelope." Very Fine. Richard Cassius Lee Moncure (1805-1882) was a prominent Virginia jurist and a justice of the Virginia Supreme Court. He married Mary Washington Conway in 1825. The addressee was therefore a relative of Mrs. Moncure.
