Stampless Soldiers “Due 10” manuscript

1 DEC. Small but complete lady's type cover with an embossed colorless
floral design around the borders. Addressed to Mrs. Martha Inglet,
Berzelia, Geor. Endorsed at left “From
T. W. G. Inglet, Co C 28th Regt Ga Vol.”
Thomas W. G. Imglet (b1839) enlisted as a private in Co C 28th Ga Inf
9/10/1861 and was promoted Corpl 8/1/1863. He is listed as wounded at
Cold Harbor (Va) 6/27/1862 losing two fingers from his right hand and
wounded a second time at Darbytown Road (Va) 10/7/1864 in the right
foot. After his second wound, he was furloughed to the Jackson
Hospital in Richmond. No further record. Very Fine and very
small
