Addressed to Maj Samuel K. Lucy, Sturgeonville, Brunswick, Va. Major Samuel Kelly Lucy (1801-1876) was a wealthy planter in Brunswick County, Virginia. There is no record of his having served in the military, so the title most likely was honorary. Cover is complete with spotty light foxing. Ex-John Hill. $75.00
