CSA #11 (AD) Light Blue (margins a little close at right and affixed just slightly over the edge of the cover) tied by the Richmond, Va CDS Powell Type 6i 24 MAR (1864). Addressed to Mrs. Maria C. Otis, William Schley Esq, Augusta, Georgia. Period docketing on the reverse identifies this as the inside envelope of a Civilian Through-the-Lines Flag of Truce cover that originated in New York. ”Flag of Truce Rec’d Mar 30th 64 dated 11 March NY ans 31st Mar/64.” Very minor reduction at the left not affecting anything. Very Fine example of a Civilian Flag of Truce cover.
