The date in the CDS is clearly 1862 which means the cover is either underpaid or quite possibly there is a date error in the CDS. By August 1862, the rate was 10c for any distance. Orange paper cover addressed to T. M. Jackson Esq., Columbia, Texas. Small reduction at the right. Exceptionally clean cover. $300.00
