Second Use (outside)_ CSA #12c Greenish-Blue (margin tight at right) tied by the Anderson, Tex CDS 23 NOV. Military Address to Mr. Wm H. Neblett, Capt Stephenson's Co, Col Elmore's Regt, Galveston, Texas. The unit in the address is the 20th Tex Inf (same unit at TX342 above) commanded by Col Henry Marshall Elmore (1816-1879). The regiment essentially spent the war guarding the Texas coast in the Galveston area. The Neblett Correspondence between Galveston and Anderson is well documented. Very Clean Cover.
