Stampless PAID cover with a handstamp PAID 5 at the upper right corner with no postmark and no date. The PAID 5 handstamp is very distinctive and is that of Knoxville, Ten Type A. Addressed to Nat M. Taylor Esqr., Elizabethton, E. Tenn. Knoxville postal handstamps are known on addressed covers without postmarks as is stated in the current CSA Catalog. This is one of those covers. Period notations on the back as well as some arithmetic and other notations. Very clean cover and not a commonly seen postal use from Tennessee. Ex-Kaufmann.
