TN426 Stampless Soldier's Due cover with the Chattanooga, Ten CDS and handstamp Arc Due 10 Type D 2 DEC (1863) Chattanooga Army of Tennessee "Rover" postmark (CC ATN-01). Addressed to Mrs. W. A. Chunn, Manassas, Bartow Co., Georgia. Endorsed across the top "From W. A. Chunn 40th Ga Regt." In December 1862, the regiment was in the Vicksburg area. In late 1863, the 40th Ga Inf was involved in the Siege of Chattanooga which would date this cover to December 1863 and confirms the postmark as Chattanooga Army of Tennessee "Rover" use. Very Fine. Ex-Cate Collection.
