SC1270 Stampless cover with the Ridgeway SC (Fairfield District) and handstamp PAID 5 Type A 13 MAY (1862). Addressed to Mr. A. B. Springs, Fort Mills PO, York District (SC). Original letter included which is a short one page business letter concerning the purchase of corn at $1.00 per bushel. Very small but complete cover. This cover is the listing cover and is the illustration for this fancy PAID 5 handstamp that appears in the CSA Catalog. Very Fine.
