Milligan, Stony Point, Alexander County NC. Endorsed at upper right "Private J. J. Duke Co C 48th NC State TS (Troops)." Very minor edge repair at top left. Very Fine Appearance.

Jacob J. Duke (1844-1864) enlisted as a private in Co C 48th NC Inf 8/1/1862. He is listed as having Died of Disease (pneumonia) 2/28/1864. 		$300.00
