Addressed to Miss. Susan C. Reeder, Manning, So. Ca. Wallpaper Adversity Cover with a blue and white stylized leaf pattern displayed with the bottom back flap folded up. William Reeder served as a private in Co A SC Manigault's Battalion Artillery also known as the 18th SC Battalion Heavy Artillery also known as the SC Siege Train Artillery commanded by Major Edward Manigault. Co A was held in reserve at this time in the Green Pond area. "Palmetto Guard Artillery" would be a local name for the unit. The addressee was Pvt Reeder's sister. Very Fine. Ex-Kaufmann. $600.00
