The addressee was the wife of Lieut Isaac Donnom Witherspoon (1833-1901) of Co A 12th SC Inf. The 12th SC Inf was an ANV unit and in Virginia, so the cover is most likely not from her husband but perhaps from another relative. Very Fine. $125.00
