PAT432 CSA #4 Stone 2 (not plated) (margin touches at left and a very dry printing) pen-cancelled affixed on the reverse to seal the back flap. Stamp not damaged as cover opened carefully from the right. BLUE small double circle Charlottesville, Va CDS 22 Apr 1862 on the front of the cover with matching BLUE handstamp (Due) 5 Type I. It appears that the postal clerk in Charlottesville did not notice that the stamp was on the back or the cover could have been overweight. Stars and Bars (11-Stars) Patriotic Cover Type F11-16 in black with Verse 30 (On! on to the rescue...). Addressed in pencil to Mrs S. J. Roberts in care of Mrs Meany, Chula Depot, Amelia Co., Va. Chula Depot was a stop on the Richmond and Danville Railroad. Cover shows some wear but is very presentable. $600.00
