CSA #12 (AD) (margin a little irrgular at the top right with slight gum toning at right edge with part of the stamp below visible) pen-cancelled and tied by the RED Greensborough NC CDS with a 2- SEP date. The receiving postmaster must have thought that the red postmark did not adequately cancel the stamp and applied additional pen cancels. Address is a bit faded but still mostly legible to --- Norman Esqr, Brinkleyville, Halifax Co., NC. Wallpaper Adversity Cover with a stylized gray, black, and white floral design displayed flapped up from the left lower corner. Very clean cover. Ex-Kaufmann.
