John Denis Keiley Jr (1839 -1901) entered service as a private in Co C 1st Va Inf
4/21/1861. He transferred to the Quartermaster's Dept as a Major in
December 1862 and served as a Quartermaster in various positions and
locations for the rest of the war. After the war, he relocated to New
York City and served for a time as the Brooklyn City Treasurer and a
newspaper writer. He died in New York in 1901.
Unable to identify Asst QM Capt Thomas Jones as the name is too common, and he was a staff officer and not a regimental officer. |
