Stampless PAID cover with the Louisburgh NC CDS 19 FEB (1862) and handstamp PAID 5 Type B. Military Address to Lieut Jesse H. H. Person, 1st Regt NC Cavalry, Manassas, Virginia. Coarse
brown paper cover with minor small edge stains, sealed back flap
opening tears, and a light central vertical file fold. Still a very
presentable cover with bold strikes of the postal markings. This
Louisburg NC postmark has the "h" at the end. The new CSA Catalog only
lists the postmark without the "h" at the end, and the Type B PAID 5 is
listed as "unsupported." This cover certainly supports the Type B
listing as well as the Louisburgh postmark containing the "h" at the
end.
