CSA #12 (KB) (4-Margin with a right sheet margin) tied by the RED Greensborough NC CDS (date not apparent). Red postmarks on KB stamps are fairly scarce. Because of the use of the KB stamp, the cover must date from late 1864 to early 1865. Orange paper cover addressed to Mrs. Mary C. Penn, Mayo Forge, Patrick Co., Va. Mayo Forge is a listed Patrick County, Va, post office in the Confederate period but no longer exists today. Back flap opening tear and a small reduction at the left not affcting anything. Very clean appearing cover. Ex-Randy Neil Exhibit.
