CSA #12 (AD) (4-Margin but very irregularly torn from the sheet) pen-cancelled and matching manuscript "Jackson La Jan 18 / 65" to the left. Addressed to Albert G. Nalli Esqr, Orange Court House, Virginia. Late use from Louisiana to Virginia. Jackson, La, is in East Feliciana Parish northeast of Baton Rouge on the east side of the Mississippi River. Therefore, the cover does not represent Trans-Mississippi use. Receiving docketting on the reverse is dated 3 MAR 1865. It took a month and a half in transit Louisiana to Virginia in early 1865, but it did arrive. Very Fine.
