GA1296 CSA #82XU2 Stampless PAID 5 Thomasville, Ga Provisional (CC Type B) 1 AUG (1861). Addressed to Mrs. W. H. Hall, Judge I. L. Harris, Milledgeviile, Ga. Professionally repaired edge tear at the top center which involves just the very top of the Thomasville CDS. This cover is included in the Crown CSA Thomasville Provisional Census and has a 1991 PF Certificate which notes the repaired edge tear. Exceptionally clean appearance.

The cover is from a known correspondence and was sent by Dr. William Hansell Hall (1828-1899) to his wife Sarah Davies Harris Hall (1832-1918). Dr Hall, a graduate of the Philadelphia Medical College, was a traveling physician in Georgia. His correspondence with his wife while traveling is extensive. Judge Iverson Louis Harris (1805-1876) was Mrs. Hall's father and the Chief Justice of the Georgia Supreme Court.
