CSA #11c (AD) Greenish-Blue (4-Margin with a left sheet margin) tie by a much better than average strike of the Tallahassee, Fla CDS 14 JUL. Coarse brown paper cover addressed to Jas H. Parker Esq, Enfield, No. Carolina. Very clean appearing cover with part of back flap missing and used to perform an edge repair at the upper left. The repair is quite well done and very unobtusive. The Briggs Census lists 20 covers from Tallahassee with the CSA #11 stamp. James Harvey Parker (1823-1899), the addressee, is listed in the Federal Census of 1860 as a very wealthy planter in Halifax County NC.
