AL657 CSA #12d (AD) Dark Blue (4-Margin) Pen-Cancelled and manuscript "Seal(e)'s Station Ala Sept 6" across the top. Addressed to Miss West D. Whitaker, EnfIeld, N. Carolina. Very clean cover.

Seale's Station is a listed post office in Russell County, Alabama, and was a station on the little known Mobile and Girard Railroad which was only 26 miles long and never made it to Mobile. Seale's Station is listed in the CSA Catalog section as a PAID 10 stampless with manuscript postal markings but unconfirmed. This is the only CSA cover I have ever seen from this obscure town and railroad station. The town of Seale, Ala., remains today but is currently unincorporated.
