AL630 CSA #1 (stamp does not appear to plate to Stone 1 or Stone 2 so is very likely Stone A/B even though the color is a bit off and it is a somewhat dry printing) (4-Margin with a little edge gum toning and minor pre-affixing faults) tied by a full strike of the Montgomery, Ala CDS 10 DEC 1861. Addressed to Mrs A. R. Cates, Pleasant Hill, Ala. Advertising Cover with a large illustrated printed corner card at the upper left "Teachers Exchange" with an Illustration of a World Globe on a stand (a business selling teacher and school supplies and other business products) in Montgomery, Ala. Cover is slightly larger than a standard cover and reduced somewhat on the left where opened just into the design. This design is not listed in the CSA Catalog. Very scarce design. Cover shows a little minor wear but still has a very clean appearance. $850.00
