USA Regular Issue Coils 1990-2000

Beginning in 1990, a number of coils were issued as self-adhesive (S/A) strips. These strips could only be obtained by mail from the Philatelic Sales Division. It is recommeded that these S/A coils be collected as pairs because as singles the earlier ones are not distinguishable from the regular sheet S/A stamp. What distinguishes the early S/A coil stamps is the wide spacing between the stamps. These Self-Adhesive coil stamps are all designated by the "S/A" abbreviation.

The stamps on the "H" coil roll of 100 are right next to each other. The "H" stamps from the coil roll of 3000 are widely spaced. Can best be seen if collected as a pair. Also, the stamps from the roll of 100 have square corners while the stamps from the roll of 3,000 have rounded corners.

The stamps on the City Flag S/A coil roll of 100 are right next to each other. The City Flag stamps from the S/A coil rolls of 3,000 and 10,000 are widely spaced. Can best be seen if collected as a pair. Also, the stamps from the roll of 100 have square corners while the stamps from the rolls of 3,000 and 10,000 have rounded corners.
1999 Fruit Berries are in a Set-Tenant Coil Strip of 4 Horizontal format with 4 different designs.
2000 Fruit Berries are in a Set-Tenant Coil Strip of 4 Vertical format with 4 different designs. These coils are Linerless but will be supplied with backing paper.
