Back to Stamps Part 1

| An unknown collector of times past undoubtedly worked very hard to search out examples of all 50 positions of CSA #1 Stone 2 and put together this plate reconstruction of the 50 subject transfer stone. The initial plating of Stone 2 was completed in the early years of the 20th Century by Knapp, Poole, and others. This plating is an older reconstruction apparently based on the Poole platings. What follows is an image of the complete reconstruction. This reconstruction was purchased intact but has now been broken down and will be sold as individual plate positions. Condition is highly variable as the original collector undoubtedly was more concerned with obtaining a good example of the stone position without too much regard as to condition. |
