Folded Business Letter dated 26 DEC 1862. The cover appears at first glance to be a Houston, Tex Overpaid Drop Letter.
The only problem is that the stamp has been added, and the postmark is a complete fake -- not a very well done one at that as it does not even remotely resemble a genuine Houston postmark. The letter itself is genuine and was probably hand delivered.
Taking a period letter or envelope and adding stamps and contriving phony postmarks is another common way of producing fake postal history.
