| VA2122 | CSA #12 (AD) (4-Margin) tied by the Culpeper CH, Va CDS 13 OCT (1863). Addressed to Mrs. J. J. Hoyle, Knob Creek PO Cleaveland Co. NC. Cover was sent by Lieut Jospeh J. Hoyle of Co F 55th NC Inf to his wife. Lieut Hoyle enlisted 5/10/1862 at age 24 and was promoted 1st Lt 3/13/1863. He was listed as wounded at Globe Tavern (Va) 8/18/1864 and died of his wounds in a Richmond hospital 9/1/1864. Cover with just a little light foxing, otherwise Very Fine. | $125.00 |
