| CSA #2 H&L Position 45 “White Arrow” Constant Variety (4-Margin but with an edge scuff top left at “S” of “POSTAGE”) tied by a partial strike of the BLUE Danville, Va CDS 18 JUN (1862). Folded Letter complete addressed to Mrs. Mary C. Hoge, Whitlocke PO Halifax Cty, Va. Letter contains only family news but does mention a Negroe slave. Very clean cover and despite the stamp fault still a scarce variety to find on cover. |
