Stamp affixed partially over USA Star Die with on Official CSA Post Office Department Imprint indicating private use of the official envelope. Addressed to W. H. Robertson Esq, Cartersville, Virginia. Cover has been professionally cleaned and restored by expertly sealing tears to an overall Very Fine appearance the stamp faults notwithstanding. The full envelope itself is completely original. Private use of a Post Office Department Imprint Official Envelope is not commonly seen.
