Soldiers Due 10 with the Richmond, Va CDS Powell Type 3k (dateless) and Dietz Type V. Addressed to Mrs. E. Parker and endorsed at upper left “W. E. Parker Co D 15th Regt SCV.” This particular Richmond postmark is very scarce with only 8 covers recorded. There is a handwritten notation on the back signed by Peter Powell attesting to the scarcity of this mark. This is an exceptionally fine strike but the cover does show just a little edge wear and a little light foxing with a backflap opening tear.
