VA1707 CSA #7 Single (margins close on two sides and affixed upside down) pen-cancelled but tied by the pen stroke with manuscript “Ivy Depot (Va) April 10/63” to the left. There is also a manuscript “5ct due” in the same hand as the manuscript postal markings which also ties the stamp as the cover was underpaid. It looks as though there may have been two stamps affixed originally, but one stamp fell off at or just before posting prompting the Ivy Depot postmaster to assess the underpayment fee.
