This is a folded wrapper made from lined notebook paper. Addressed to Messers G & A Bargamen Jr Richmond, Va. The address is written in the hand of James A. Seddon (CSA Secretary of War Nov 1862 - Jan 1865). Receiving docketting on the reverse “Dover April 30 1862 James A. Seddon” confirms the date of the letter and the sender. Seddon’s plantation was near Dover Mills in Goochland County, Va. $300.00
