"State of North Carolina Executive Department" Semi-Official imprinted cover Type S-NC-03. Addressed to A. A. McKethan Esq, Pres(?) Board of Commissioners, Fayetteville NC. Docketing at right indicates contents were from Gov Vance. Alfred Augustus McKethan (1809-1890) was a carriage maker in Fayetteviile and a railroad promoter as well as being very active in local politics. Very clean cover with a minor corner repair at the lower right,
