CSA #9b T-E-N (4-Margin but close top and left Gray Blue) tied by the large single rim Augusta, Ga CDS with a JUL (1863) date. Addressed to Col L. M. H. Walker, Pleasant Hill, Dallas County, Alabama. The addressee was a prominent plantation owner in Dallas County, so the title of “Col” was honorary and not associated with the Confederate Army. Minor backflap opening tear and a light vertical file fold near the right edge of the cover not affecting the stamp. Otherwise a very clean cover with an overall Very Fine appearance.
