CSA #11 (AD) (4-Margin but close at the top) tied by an indistinct Georgia postmark dated 28 AUG. Cover is from the Cobb Correspondence addressed to Genl Howell Cobb Montgomery, Ala. A short biography of Howell Cobb, prominent Georgia politician, is included with the cover. Cover was missent to Montezuma, Ga and forwarded on to Montgomery with the addition of the Montezuma, Ga CDS 11 SEP and manuscript “missent & ford.” Some small top edge repairs and restoration not involving any of the markings and are very well done so that they are virtually unnoticeable thus giving the cover an overall Very Fine appearance. Scarce usage addressed to a prominent CSA General.
