CSA #11 (AD) (4-Margin with a left sheet margin) tied by a somewhat weak strike of the BLUE Columbia SC CDS (date not apparent). Addressed to Col A. P. Calhoun, Fort Hill SC. The cover was missent to Fort Mill SC where a small Fort Mill SC woodcut single rim cancel without a date (appears to be in brown ink) was applied which also ties the stamp, and then the cover was sent on its way to Fort Hill. Very scarce mark locally made in Fort Mill. The addressee was the son of John C. Calhoun, and the title of “Col” was honorary. Sealed backflap opening tear, otherwise Very Fine.
