Bath Alum Straight-Line -- CSA #7 Vert Pair Off-Cover (margins tight at top right and top left and has not been removed from the exhibit mounting) with the Bath Alum (Virginia) Straight-Line cancel with manuscript date “April 24, 1863." Bath Alum was a small town in Bath County, Va in the Shenandoah Mountains and no longer exists. This is currently the only recorded example of this straight-line cancel. There are no known full covers. This is the catalog listing copy and is illustrated on Page 376 (SL-01) of the new CSA Catalog and is also illustrated on Page 344 of The Collector's Guide to Confederate Philately Second Edition.
