CSA #1 Stone 1 (not plated) (4-Margin but with preaffixing faults and an unusual light yellow green color) tied by the single rim Randolph Macon College, Va CDS 24 JAN (1862). Addressed to Jeff W. Stubbs Esqr, Cappahosic, Va. On the backflap is the fancy embossed Blue and White Randolph Macon College advertising oval (VA-12). The backflap has been cut and folded over for display purposes. This is a turned cover with the inside use handcarried outside the postal system to Dinwiddie, Va. This cover is illustrated on Page 312 of the Collector’s Guide to Confederate Philately Second Edition. Cover has an overall Very Fine appearance.
