#12 (AD) USED (margin clipped a little at the
upper right corner but the corner has been rebacked to add the small
corner
margin for display purposes) canceled by the Goodson
(Va) Straight Line
postmark with Sept. The stamp has been
affixed to a small piece and the
portion of the cancel on the piece reconstructed for display purposes.
Gen
Bush has recorded only three items with the Goodson Straight Line Sept
postmark (the two off-cover stamps offered here plus one full cover
which Gen Bush has retained for his current exhibit). This mark was in
use only during the last 11 days of September
1863.
