CB8 Turned Cover -- 1st Use: CSA #1 Stone 1 (margins just in top and bottom) tied by the Augusta, Ga small double circle CDS (date not apparent) to Mars Bluff SC. 2nd Use: CSA #4 Stone 2 (margins close right and bottom) tied by the Mars Bluff SC Balloon CDS 17 APR (1862) addressed to Mr. Stark Simms of Grindal’s Shoals Pacolet River SC. This is a cover FRONT ONLY which has been rebacked for display purposes. Both stamps display very well with the upper left corner folded down. Cover originally included in the exhibit to show examples of a small postmark used together on the same cover with a large balloon postmark. SOLD
