CB41 CSA #7 Vert Pair (margins close left and right and affixed sideways) tied by two strikes of a small PAID handstamp. Endorsement at upper left “J. S. Boynton Lt Col 30th Ga Regt” to Mrs. Fannie Boynton, Jackson Butts County, Georgia. The cover is undated and there is no postmark. Since there is a military endorsement from an Army of Tennessee unit, there is some speculation that this may be an army field cancel, but this has yet to be proven. Just a little light foxing but otherwise a Very Fine Appearance and most unusual. Cover originally included in the exhibit to show handstamp PAID used to cancel the stamps. SOLD
